Wichita Brunch Wedding – Sublett Studios

Liz and Logan’s wedding is one to never forget. It took place at Noah’s Event Venue in east Wichita on the morning of April 15th, 2017. It was a beautiful morning, although windy, the warmth and cloud cover made for gorgeous light and beautiful photos. I had been looking forward to their big day because brunch weddings don’t come around too often. When hearing their vision for the day, I was hooked!

The background story on how these two met is really cute. Amber, Logan’s sister, had set up the two on a blind date. Liz remembered being a little uncertain about going on a blind date but recently made a resolution to move outside her comfort zone, so she agreed to the date. On February 9th, 2015, they met at Red Robin for dinner, although Logan was willing to be a gentleman and pick up Liz for dinner, Liz said no just in case he turned out to be a “creeper”. They talked for several hours and the connection was undeniable, so they agreed that a second date would be a must! Their second date was at a virtual shooting range and this time, Logan was able to pick Liz up. By the end of the evening, both realized that this may be the start of something very special. The couple has attended numerous basketball games where Logan excels at his side job as a referee and Liz at her unofficial job of popcorn taster. They have also enjoyed 4th of July trips to the lake, camping with the Coon’s and riding motorcycles with the Tucker’s.

Christmas came early as Logan popped the question on December 22nd, 2016. Liz thought her gift from Logan was simply a digital picture frame, but at the end of the slides there was a surprise message of proposal. After sharing the news with friends and family, the wedding planning swiftly began. Time passed quickly as the couple celebrated the two year anniversary of their first date in February. They are so excited to start their new life together as one.

Liz and Logan are so down to earth and really great for each other. They are naturals in front of the camera because they are so comfortable with each other. Make’s my job super easy! This brunch wedding had all the gorgeous light, decor, music and most of all breakfast food! They had a traditional cake cutting but didn’t want their guests to miss out on donuts. Who doesn’t love donuts!!! After they mingled with their loved ones, shared a dance together and had some good food, it was time to go. They left with a shower of colorful sprinkles to set them on their way.

Liz and Logan,

You both are incredible people and I love that I have gotten to know you in the course of planning your wedding day. Thank you for trusting in us to document this special time in your lives. I hope you’ll be able to look back at all your images years down the road and remember these moments. May God bless your marriage and forever give you comfort in each other’s arms. Congratulations to you both!

Warmly,

Amber Sublett
