Spring Wedding @ Eberly Farms – Wichita Kansas

Tiara and Dave’s wedding took place on May 6th, 2017 at Eberly Farms in Wichita Kansas. I was super excited about this wedding and getting to work with this amazing couple. They have such a beautiful love story Tiara was willing to share. When our hearts are broken, I am truly in awe of the blessings God gives us to help pick up those pieces.

Dave and Tiara met about 20 year ago while working together for the same airline, Dave as a pilot and Tiara as an operations agent. They had an instant friendship that has withstood the test of time and distance.

For many of those years, Tiara was married to an amazing man, and the devoted father to their three children. Over two years ago, Jimmy had passed away in a tragic car accident. Tiara was widowed at 36 with nearly three teenagers. It was devastating to say the least.

She believes that one must know great love to be able to love again. After the first year of losing Jimmy, she began to pray that God would send the right man that would love her and her kids like he had been there since their first breath. God opened Tiara’s eyes to a man that had been her source of strength all along. Dave was committed to helping them every step of the way. He brought laughter back to their family and as hard as she tried to fight it, there was no denying it, they were truly in love. It took courage and strength from all of them to mend their broken hearts, and move forward with their lives.

In November, while on a trail run with their new pup, Dave stopped on Tiara’s favorite part of the trail and asked her to marry him! They have only looked forward from that moment on!

Tiara and Dave define fun-loving, adventurous, outdoorsy couples in love and this is everything I hope for when I photograph couples. I love meeting people full of laughter and joy who are down-to-earth with big hearts for the people in their lives. This is Tiara and Dave to a T! It speaks so loudly in their photos the love they share for each other and the fun they have together.

Their wedding day began and ended at Eberly Farms. It was absolutely the perfect day with no wind or rain or a cloud in the sky. We had 80 degree weather in early May that made it feel like summer. Before Dave arrived to the venue, Tiara, her daughters and best friends made it out around the farm for some fun photos. Tiara was calm and collected and her positivity was more radiant than ever.

Then comes Dave and the Groomsmen. I had such a blast with them as we took pictures around the farm. They were surrounded with laughter and fun all day and I can’t imagine a more perfect wedding day.

The ceremony was outside under the awning surrounded by lights and hanging lanterns. They had their own vows for one another that left so many people in tears. They also put together a cross for the unity which was unique and had a personal touch.

After the ceremony, we finished formal pictures with family and ended with Tiara and Dave around the farm. I have so many great images of the two of them together, I had to limit to what I was going to post. They are so candid with one another it made their photos natural and real which is what I strive for. As we were headed towards the back of the farm, a few of the kiddos were zip lining through the trees in their dresses, feet and legs covered in mud. Tiara and Dave just laughed and said, “this is what it’s all about”. I made sure to capture a few photos of that fun moment.

The reception started and the party was hopping all night. I can’t get over the candids we captured during the dances. The emotion was flying through the roof and we got some really great images. Like I said before, it just blows me away how good our God is. He gives us strength when we are weak, and places certain people in our lives to help lift us up.

Tiara and Dave,

I have so much respect for the both of you and feel beyond blessed to have documented your love story. No one deserves this perfect day more then the two of you. Thank you a million times over for being so incredible. I hope this new adventure gets better each and everyday for your family. Your joy is contagious and I absolutely loved being surrounded by it on your wedding day. Blessings to you all for many more years of love and happiness!

Warmly,

Amber Sublett
