Preparing for your maternity and newborn photo sessions is an exciting part of your journey into parenthood! Maternity photos are best taken around 7 to 8 months into your pregnancy, when your baby bump is beautifully rounded but you're still feeling relatively comfortable. This is a special time to celebrate the changes in your body and the new life growing within you. Choose a date early on and think about the kind of look you want—whether it's soft and romantic, natural and candid, or something more styled. Don’t worry about the details—I’ll help guide you through posing and wardrobe suggestions to ensure you feel radiant and relaxed during your session.
When it comes to your newborn session, planning ahead is key. I recommend booking your session months in advance, as my calendar fills up quickly. However, I understand that babies arrive on their own schedule, so your session date can always be adjusted if needed. The ideal time for newborn photos is between 6 to 12 days after birth. During this window, babies are typically sleepier and more flexible, allowing us to capture those curled-up, peaceful poses you’ll treasure forever. You have the choice of a cozy two-hour session in my studio, or a more intimate one-hour session in the comfort of your home. There’s no need to bring anything for baby—I have everything we need to make the session beautiful and stress-free.
Your baby’s first year is full of incredible milestones, and my Watch Me Grow program is designed to help you capture them all. From tummy time and first smiles to sitting up and taking those first steps, these sessions document your little one’s amazing growth throughout their first year. I pride myself on a fast turnaround time of two weeks or less, and each session includes a wide variety of images and creative settings—I truly love what I do, and it shows in every photo. Let’s preserve these fleeting moments together so you’ll have beautiful memories to hold onto forever.
