It all started ten years ago in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. We had the gorgeous weather, beautiful scenery, and closest friends and family surrounding us on one of the most important days of our lives. I can say that day, on January 4th, I married my best friend. I was very fortunate to have one of my good friends from design school, document this special time for us. At the time, I just graduated from WSU with my design degree, and Damon got picked up with the Yankee organization to play single A ball. Us, like most young couples, didn’t have a ton of money to spend and were on a tight budget. We did everything ourselves… from planning all the details, DIYing everything, and making it a small, intimate destination wedding. And still, after all the weddings I have photographed over these last 10 years, I would not change a thing!

Eight years later into our marriage, we had our daughter, Quinn. After all these years of just us… now there is three! She has brought so much joy into our marriage, and even though it’s been a challenge at times, she has been a true blessing.

With 2018 around the corner and our ten year anniversary approaching, I wanted to re-create some of our wedding images on the same beach in Ft. Lauderdale. It was also Quinn’s first time experiencing the ocean. She loved everything about it and I couldn’t have been more pleased with her reaction. We hired a south Florida photographer (Lara Rose Photography) who captures raw, in the moment images of a family enjoying life together. She was perfect for what I wanted to document on this little adventure of ours.
