What can I say… I have an awesome studio to photograph newborns in, and I can’t use it at the moment. First off, my studio is located in my home, which means I don’t want too many people in and out during this time. That’s why I’ve decided to take them outdoors while the weather is gorgeous and the temperatures are just right for the babies to be comfortable.
I know it seems out of the ordinary, as you’re used to seeing clean studio images and fun digital composites created with your sweet new blessing. Don’t be fooled though. As we are outside enjoying the beautiful weather, so is your little one, and the images will be of studio quality as well.
My goal with these outdoor newborn sessions is to have a lifestyle approach but also give you those studio-like images that you desire. Momma’s will still be asked colors and theme of the nursery so that I can prepare wraps and props to match.
Even though I can’t bring the whole lot of props with me, it’s okay. Before every session, I spend hours creating what I’m going to use the day before the shoot. I will compile EVERYTHING that I can bring to your outdoor session. This will include, wraps, outfits, bows, bonnets, props, blankets, sound machine, diapers, wipes, ect. It’s a lot of stuff, but it’s what I would have in my studio, and I wouldn’t want any less.
Digital edits can still be done as well!
Most importantly, I’ve decided to go this route for you and your baby’s safety. Lot’s of hand sanitizer and a mask will be used during the session. Because there is not much social distancing that can be done with this type of session, keep in mind that I want to respect your family by being as safe as possible.
