I loved getting to work with Vi and Bernie. Their laid back vibe and split day wedding made my job a whole lot easier.
It was a hot August day that started out with a morning ceremony at St. Anthony Catholic Church. It was windy when we arrived and I chose to do the first look around the corner of the church, hopefully, to block most of the wind. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and when it was all over, we did some family portraits inside. As I opened the doors of the church, the rain was coming down pretty hard at this time. Since the reception was to be held outside at Elderslie later in the evening, we were hoping the ground stayed dry.
I met up with the couple later on in the evening at Elderslie Farm, and thankfully the ground was not muddy or wet. They had the most amazing setup and decor! This low-key celebration came with a 6-course meal and blackberry cake made fresh at Elderslie. It was all so beautiful! What made it even more amazing where the friendly goats to greet you as you walked into the dinner party.
