Hey there, and Happy New Year!!! I can’t believe 2018 is almost over… where does the time go?! As I’m sitting here, evaluating my business and planning my goals for the new year, I’m feeling totally and overwhelmingly blessed. God is so good you guys. When you pray, He listens! But instead of saying: “I want, I want, I want”, give Him thanks in all things, because He wants to bless you! I have learned to put complete TRUST in Him. I know… it’s so hard. But until that Trust is in place, prayers will be answered!

“Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.” Psalm 9:10

If you haven’t noticed, my photography business has changed a bit over the past year. In 2018, I felt like Sublett Studios needed something. I wasn’t sure what, but with all the overwhelming struggle to keep up with social media posts – on all platforms, keeping up with editing, marketing campaigns, and all the personal stuff going on at home, I was struggling with balance. The Lord placed it heavy on my heart to be still, stop thinking about what I did in the past, and look only to what’s ahead of me. It gave me a push to make some changes. I decided to stop generalizing, and start specializing on what I LOVE the most from what I do – WEDDINGS & BABIES!!!

Before 2018, I booked every session under the sun. It made me way too busy, put me behind, and I was getting burnt out. Now, I book only engagements, weddings, maternity, newborns, and milestones up to 1 year. I do still book a few family sessions for fillers, if I have wiggle room on my calendar. Especially if your a part of my Client For Life Program, I will make sure to fit you in. My current and past couples know what I’m talking about! 🙂
