This rustic wedding was one for the books. Keelie and Dray’s wedding took place at Stone Hill Barn in Augusta Kansas on May 18th, 2019.
The sky was overcast and storms were in the forecast. It was a blessing we had no rain for the entire portrait portion of the day. We had the option of doing all the posed pictures outdoors and in front of barn.
Since we were dealing with a muddy ground outside, we bustled Keelie’s dress and decided to do the first look in front of the house. I loved this! It was the perfect plan B for this laid back couple. Dray’s reaction to seeing his bride was priceless.
Because of the unpredictable weather and soggy ground, the outdoor ceremony that was previously planned, had to move inside. Stone Hill Barn does not disappoint. The windows along each wall allow light to pour in giving us beautifully lit photos to work with.
What made this wedding so fun was Keelie and Dray’s friends who stood beside them to witness the celebration. They partied hard and were not afraid to get a little crazy. Two of the bridal party members switched clothes for the reception entrance and I’ve never seen that before. They had everyone busting out in laughter.
It was a fun, beautiful day. and one that these two will always remember.
