Kaleigh and Kyle’s wedding was on July 22nd at the Distillery 244 in Old Town. This event was my first at the Distillery and oh boy was it awesome! For one, the owners there are amazing and will do anything for their couples, and Two, the place has a look that no other venue can compare to. It’s industrial yet classy. I couldn’t help but to get tons of detail shots that you will see below.
When I first met with Kaleigh, I knew we would be a perfect fit. She is down to earth, great personality and super friendly. When I had the chance to meet Kyle on the wedding day, of course, he was just the same. Not to mention, both their families were amazing and wonderful to work with.
The two first met at Tabor college when their mutual friend MacKenzie invited them both to Applebees for half price appetizers. They were pretty much inseparable from then on.
Kyle came down to Oklahoma where Kaleigh’s family lives over Thanksgiving break. He took her to the Miriad Garden where they were looking up at the beautiful devon tower in downtown OKC. When she turned around, Kyle got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
The wedding day was a very hot 106 degrees with no breeze. Thankfully, we didn’t spend too much time outdoors, as I could tell everyone was starting to melt. We did a few getting ready shots at the Hotel Old Town just down the street from the Distillery, and Kaleigh had a first look with her dad which was unforgettable. We brought Kyle over for the couple’s first look and then started bridal party pictures from there. We hung around the down town area for a bit taking pictures while the party bus gave us some comfort from the heat. When we arrived at the ceremony location (Central Community Church), we finished up with family pictures in the lit up foyer then got ready for the ceremony to take place in the main sanctuary. It was absolutely breathtaking under the lit up cross.
After the ceremony, we got back on the party bus that immediately headed to Distillery 244. Kaleigh and Kyle did their grand entrance and the party started with good food and mingling. They cut their cake and then my associate and I took them out for sunset pictures on top of the Hotel Old Town parking garage. The sun was just hiding behind a cloud at that moment, creating gorgeous beams of all kinds of colors. It was stunning, and we couldn’t of asked for a better backdrop! After about 10 minutes of sunset pictures, we made it back to the reception where Kaleigh and Kyle danced their first dance under the twinkling lights. Kaleigh then did a surprise choreographed dance with her dad that got everyone in the crowd laughing.
It was a beautiful wedding with a beautiful couple. We were so privileged to have met and worked with Kaleigh and Kyle.
